Probably one of the most classic cigar sizes is the 8-9-8. It refers to how the cigars are able to fit in the cigar box; 8 cigars on the bottom, 9 cigars in the middle, then 8 cigars on top for a total of 25 cigars in a box. The cigar size is usually around 6 inches in length with a ring gauge of about 42-43.
Today’s cigar review is the Fonseca 8-9-8 (6 x43). It’s a light brown cigar and well-constructed. It’s a mild cigar with a bit of tartness. There is some creaminess to it as well, including a mild coffee taste. Overall, it is a good priced cigar if you are looking for something inexpensive and mild.
