La Gloria Cubana Serie R No. 5

Even though it’s February, it’s about 50 degrees today on the East Coast. When that happens, it’s time to get on the golf course, or sit outside and enjoy your cigar. It’s a little brisk to just sit out there, but if you are in the sun, you’ll stay warm, and your cigar will taste even better because you can enjoy it outside. I love that I get to enjoy all four seasons, but winter usually feels just a little bit longer than rest. So if you can, get outside and enjoy the sun and warmth, because once it’s summer, 50 degrees will feel cold!

Today’s cigar review is the La Gloria Cubana Serie R No. 5 (5 1/2 x 54). It’s a big dark oily cigar with a firm feel to it. The Serie R line is one of my favorite lines, and I enjoy all the different sizes, each producing a bit different smoke, which is always fun to figure out. The No. 5 produces a nice chocolate flavor with a peppery spice to it. It’s the same throughout and is just a nice medium to full-bodied smoke. If you are looking for a big full-bodied cigar with good flavor, try the Serie R No. 5 today. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
