I enjoy smoking cigars, this much we can gather from the blog. But I enjoy smoking cigars I can smoke all the time. If I smoke something and like it, then can’t get another one, it drives me crazy. Of course I enjoy Fuente cigars, they are a great brand and a great smoke. They make some of the best cigars, Opus X, Anejo, etc. But sometimes they are hard to get. So when I can get some of them, I stock up some. One of my favorite lines from Fuente is the Double Chateau. It is a big cigar and cedar wrapped. Two things I enjoy.
When I first lit up the Double Chateau Fuente (50 x 6 3/4) I was immediately impressed. Don’t let the Connecticut Shade wrapper fool you, this is a medium to full-bodied cigar. It is a smooth, even draw, with creaminess and coffee flavors. This cigar has a spiciness to it as well, giving it great balance. The Double Chateau has a nice long pepper and spice finish. The cigar is stronger than it looks, and tastes better than you would think by first glance. If you have stayed away from the Double Chateau Fuente because you thought it wasn’t as strong as some of the others, give it a try and tell me what you think.
